And now she wants to bring that experience to the Georgetown School Committee. King is one of three candidates vying for two seats on the committee in the upcoming May 10 local election. After growing up in Londonderry, N.H., King earned her undergraduate degree at UMass Amherst, with a double major in dance and elementary education. She then earned her master’s degree in elementary education at Simmons College and her certificate of advanced graduate studies (CAGS) from Salem State University.
