Go Ape: The Whinlatter centre is opening new roles as part of the Kickstart scheme
An outdoor adventure company has created 100 new jobs across its 34 locations in the country, which will young people get their feet on the career ladder.
Go Ape, which has a base at Whinlatter Forest Park near Keswick, has opened roles in local marketing, customer experience, construction, photography and retail.
The move is in support of the UK Government’s Kickstart programme.
Site manager at Go Ape Whinlatter, Barry Hobbs, said: “With the loss of the larches around the visitor centre at Whinlatter, we will have to rebuild our course in the next year or two.”
