View Larger + Daniel J. Curran, 28, of Warwick, passed away on April 22, 2021, at Newport Hospital, Newport. Born in Providence, he was the son of Daniel and Kathie (Joubert) Curran. Daniel worked security at the Naval War College and served as the Vice President for the National Association of Government Employees (NAGE) International Brotherhood of Police Officer (IBPO) Local Lodge (620); Daniel was a decorated Veteran of the United States Army and was deployed to Afghanistan in 2013. He was awarded the Afghanistan Campaign Medal with two Campaign Stars and a Combat Action Badge. He also earned three Army Achievement Medals and numerous unit and personal awards.
