Holmgren, rated as the No. 1 college recruit, averaged 20.8 points, 12.6 rebounds, 4.7 blocked shots and 4.4 assists last season for Minnehaha Academy in Minneapolis. The 7-foot Holmgren learned he was the winner when his former high school teammate and former Gonzaga star Jalen Suggs told him during a virtual announcement in front of a gathering of family and friends in Minneapolis. "It's definitely a huge honor to win such a prestigious award," Holmgren said.
