A FANCY dress character did a great job of drumming up customers as part of a Gourock street's bid to lure shoppers. Professional drummer Lesley McLaren donned the costume of a much-loved Muppets character to entertain Christmas shoppers on Kempock Street. She took up a spot in the window of popular Gourock shop, the Pirate and Bluebelle, owned by business partners Heather McCulloch and Nick Summers, for performances throughout the day. It was part of the '12 Days of Kempock Street' celebration - organised by residents of the street Martin McCluskey and his partner Ben Walsh. The promotional drive saw residents and businesses each take a day of the song to display in their windows.
