May 14, 2021 BOSTON ( WBZ NewsRadio) — Massachusetts Governor Baker said this week that some changes are coming soon to the state's Covid-19 reopening plan. The Governor made the announcement on Twitter on Friday, writing "The new @CDCgov guidance is great news. We will be updating our reopening plans early next week." According to the CDC guidance announced on Thursday, Americans who have been fully vaccinated for Covid-19 do not have to wear masks for most indoor and outdoor settings, except under special circumstances -- like if someone is severely immune compromised. Despite the change, Governor Baker said that the Massachusetts mask mandate will remain in effect while the state works to vaccinate more people.
