A DETECTIVE drama that was celebrated as a boost for the city has been commissioned for a second series. ITV's Grace has been given the green light for a second series after the first instalment, which aired last month amassed 8.8 million viewers. The show was filmed in Brighton and Hove last year with city landmarks – including both piers and Hove’s beach huts – playing a starring role in the adaption. Based on crime novelist Peter James' book Dead Simple, it was a hit with viewers. The second series will be made up of three 120 minute films - Not Dead Enough, Dead Man’s Footsteps and Dead Tomorrow.
