Sandy mayor sues Oregon Gov. Brown over COVID-19 State of Emergency

GRESHAM, Ore. – Oregon Governor Kate Brown is facing a new federal lawsuit challenging her extended State of Emergency during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The lawsuit was announced Monday by Sandy, Ore. Mayor Stan Pulliam, who has been a vocal critic of the measures Oregon put in place during the coronavirus pandemic.
Pulliam said the lawsuit will be filed in federal court on behalf of Heart of Main Street, the Oregon Mom's Union, and other people and businesses.
Last month, he announced an exploratory committee to consider running for the republican ticket for governor in 2022.
