ACROSS AMERICA — Growing your own food doesn't always mean a vast yard or gardening surface is needed. Ways to reduce one's "food print" — what it takes for food to make it from the farm to your plate — and save money are possible anywhere as long as containers are around, gardening experts have said.
Container gardening is an affordable way Americans struggling to put food on their tables during the pandemic can add vegetables to the table. An estimated 42 million Americans have experienced food insecurity during the pandemic, according to Feeding America.
