Advertisement William Aya, public relations officer of the Kogi police command, confirmed the development at a media briefing in Lokoja, the state capital, on Wednesday. While noting that the workers were kidnapped on June 29, he added that they were working at one of the mining sites of the ceramics company located at Emiworo community in Ajaokuta LGA, when they were abducted. Aya, however, explained that the police were informed about the incident on Wednesday morning. The command’s spokesperson added that the police is working in collaboration with other security agencies to rescue the victims, noting that a manhunt for the kidnappers has commenced.
