HALIFAX -- The Halifax Regional Municipality will have an overnight winter parking ban again this year. The ban, which will be in effect from Tuesday, Dec. 15 to March 31, 2021, will only be enforced during storms or when there is overnight snow-clearing operations. "As in previous seasons, the ban will be enforced between 1 a.m. and 6 a.m.," the city said in a news release. "Residents are encouraged to plan ahead when snow is in the forecast and secure off-street parking for when the overnight parking ban is enforced." The city is also reminding people that it’s not just roads that have to be cleared; sidewalks do as well and it's important not to block them.
