Surbiton railway station A HAMPSHIRE railway worker has been killed after being hit by a train. Emergency services were called to Surbiton railway station in south-west London at around midday yesterday following reports of a casualty on the tracks. A 30-year-old man, who police were only able to confirm was from Hampshire, was pronounced dead at the scene. British Transport Police (BTP) said the man’s family had been informed and that officers were working with the Office of Rail and Road and the Rail Accident Investigation Branch to establish the full circumstances behind his death. The incident happened between Surbiton and Weybridge.
