Hannibal Middle School Aide Arrested for Inappropriate Conduct Get our free mobile app In a press release Thursday, Hannibal School Superintendent Susan Johnson said the district received information a week ago suggesting a district employee could be inappropriately involved with a student. Johnson said the information was shared with the Division of Family Services and the Hannibal Police Department and a full investigation was begun. The individual was arrested by Hannibal Police Tuesday, charged with several criminal violations and was fired by the school district Wednesday. Johnson said at the time the individual was hired, they passed a full background check by the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the FBI and the Missouri Children’s Division.
