Hansen named newest member of Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education Cheboygan Daily Tribune CHEBOYGAN — After interviewing candidates March 22 to fill the position on the school board vacated by Pat Bolen, the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education appointed Amber Hansen to fill the vacant seat. Hansen had run for one of the three open position on the school board in November and had come in fourth. Roger Cronk earned 3,938 votes, John Palmer received 2,425 votes and Julie Lohela earned 2,247 votes to fill the three open seats. Hansen earned 2,103 votes. "I won't take much of your time, I'm just going to try it one more time," said Bolen. "You're going to be interviewing people for my seat on the board. I've told you before I think that seeings we just had an election in November, I think my seat should be filled by the fourth highest person that got votes in the election, which is Amber Hansen."
