The history of William Henry Harrison has sparked activism in one former high schooler. A Harrison H.S. Class of 1989 star athlete is calling for the renaming of the school and mascot.

TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (WLFI) — One Harrison High School graduate is making it his mission to combat systemic racism in Tippecanoe County. Former 1989 star-athlete Scott Sturgeon is pushing to change the school's name and mascot as he said it honors a racist past in Indiana's history.
