Harrison includes hazardous, electronic waste collection in new garbage contract [The Valley News-Dispatch, Tarentum, Pa.] Jan. 9—Harrison will no longer host events twice a year so residents can dispose of electronic and hazardous waste because residents will now be able to get rid of them from their homes year-round, Commissioner William Heasley said. Commissioners have approved adding household collection of hazardous waste as part of a new three-year garbage contract with Waste Management. The collection includes CRT televisions, monitors and other electronics that residents have had to pay a per-pound fee to dispose of at the collection events held at the township building.
