From Staff Reports The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook for east Oklahoma and west Arkansas with possible flash flooding, isolated tornadoes, and baseball-sized hail in northwest Arkansas Monday night. There is a 50% chance of thunderstorms Tuesday around Fort Smith with skies clearing in the evening. No severe weather is expected for Baxter County in north Arkansas. While the areas of greatest risk are east-central Oklahoma and northwest Arkansas, the west-central Arkansas counties of Sebastian, Crawford and Franklin are included in the hazardous weather outlook by the National Weather Service on Monday. Over an inch of rain is expected to fall in east-central Oklahoma Monday night that would feed into the Arkansas River basin and increase river levels downstream in Fort Smith.
