He has, therefore, admonished Ghanaians to examine their sights from time to time to curtail the chances of contracting the irreversible disease. The Ashanti Regional Ophthalmologist of the Ghana Health Service , Dr. Kwadwo Amoah in a post media interaction . According to him, Ghana in 2015 conducted a survey under the umbrella of National Blindness and Visual impairment Survey, where it came to the fore that 700,000 people who report to hospitals have been affected with glaucoma, a data which is devoid of people who live in far-flung areas who are blind and the cause of their blindness is unknown.
