Heat emergency goes into effect in Boston on Monday as temperatures hit the mid-90s

A heat emergency will go into effect in Boston on Monday, kicking off what is expected to be the second heat wave of the summer, officials said.
The heat emergency will run through Wednesday, as temperatures will likely stay in the mid-90s each day through then, Acting Mayor Kim Janey said in a statement.
National Weather Service forecasts said those coming days could feel as hot as 95 to 100 degrees.
