With COVID-19 vaccine eligibility opening up to 12- to 15-year-olds, community partners in St. Clair County are rolling out clinic options for youths in that age group.
A U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention panel recommended the Pfizer vaccine for the group earlier this week.
According to Dr. Annette Mercatante, St. Clair County’s medical health officer, there were ongoing community clinics open to public walk-ins that could accommodate youths with Pfizer doses.
There are clinics this weekend through the St. Clair County Diversity Initiative at the Eleger G. Harvey Reinvestment Center, 3013 24th St., that had both Pfizer and Moderna vaccine available. One was through 6 p.m. Friday and another from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
