LISBON, N.D. (NewsDakota.com) – Valley City ended the first half on a 14-5 run to open up a 32-25 lead then pulled away in the second half in a 64-51 win over Lisbon Monday night in Lisbon. Valley City took the lead for good on Peyton Zaun’s mid-range bucket late in the first half tot take a 22-20 lead. From there, the Hi-Liners outscored Lisbon 10-5 to end the quarter leading by seven. The third quarter saw the Hi-Liners score six of the first seven points to open up a 38-26 lead. That lead would expand to 15, with Valley City up 48-33. But back-to-back three-pointers by Jayden Bittner cut the lead to nine by the end of the third quarter.
