The fountain is filled with 44,000 gallons of water. Also this summer, the Ice Age Gallery will return to the Cincinnati Museum Center on July 1 and there will be other new additions as well. The fountain was closed in 2015 as part of Union Terminal’s restoration and reopened in May 2019. Officials said in the process, 2,300 historic pieces of limestone and granite were surveyed, tagged and removed before the fountain was rebuilt.
