Correction: This story has been changed to correct State Rep. Robin Shackleford's title. With the opening of the COVID-19 vaccine to Hoosiers 50 and over, Gov. Eric Holcomb said Wednesday he will get his first dose of the vaccine on Friday. During his weekly COVID-19 update, Holcomb said he signed up to get his first shot Friday morning at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway to make sure he “practice what he preaches” and be an example for coronavirus responses. “I did receive a very, shall I say, strong recommendation to 'walk the walk' and not just 'talk the talk' and practice what I preach and be an example, so I will come this Friday get my vaccination,” the 52-year-old governor said.
