Share Updated: 2:54 PM CDT May 5, 2021 WVTM 13 Digital UPDATE: Birmingham police say around 9:00 p.m. on Wednesday May 5, South Precinct officers were dispatched to 800 block of 46th Street North on report of a person shot. Officers arrived on the scene and found a male victim lying unresponsive in a parking lot suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Birmingham Fire and Rescue personnel arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.The Jefferson County Coroner has identified the victim as Perry Lee Mixon, 62, of Birmingham.The preliminary investigation suggests the victim was in a parking lot outside of a vehicle when a suspect(s) began firing shots at him.
