Courtesy of Sai Ram 009, MZA The Music Row site once home to the iconic United Artists Tower and long eyed for a hotel and then an apartment building will now, and finally, be developed with a hotel. The project, a groundbreaking date for which has not yet been announced, will unfold at 50 Music Square W. An investor and development group overseen by hoteliers Jay Patel and Andy Bhakta will undertake the project, a seven-story hotel building (pictured) with 132 rooms. The site previously accommodated the nine-story octagon-shaped United Artists Tower, which the owners had razed in 2019. One permit from the Metro Codes Department and approval from the Metro Planning Commission (related to aerial encroachment) are needed for groundbreaking to begin.
