Home values in Bastrop County rose by 13.5% on average this year, according to a preliminary analysis by the Bastrop Central Appraisal District. Single family residence values in the county increased by 17.1% (which includes home, land and any additional detached structures), multifamily home values rose by 9.4%, vacant lot values had a 53% hike, commercial property values are up 22.7% and agriculture market land values rose by 12.1%. Chief Appraiser Faun Cullens said property values are up this year due to growth and sales of properties throughout the county. Last year, the average home in Bastrop County was valued at $203,594. This year, the average home value is up to $230,995, a 13.5% increase.
