Three police officers GREATER Manchester Police (GMP) has set out how it has begun to tackle concerns raised in a damning report last year. The force was placed in special measures after Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary and Fire and Rescue Services examined it. Among the findings, which were published in December, it was discovered that more than 80,000 crimes had not been recorded and its service to victims of crime was a "serious cause of concern". The report led to Chief Constable Ian Hopkins leaving the force. Four months on, GMP has now given an update on the work being done to "regain the confidence of the public".
