Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili and Austrian Chancellor Sebastian Kurz have discussed Georgia’s role in recent evacuations from Afghanistan and bilateral relations ahead of a meeting dedicated to Afghanistan issues on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) 76th session in New York late yesterday. Garibashvili said that Tbilisi International Airport has become a transit hub for evacuating coalition forces from Afghanistan, receiving more than 250 flights since the Taliban took Kabul.
