get over it. jon: well, what is the solution? i mean, they tried this in massachusetts. be that doesn't work -- if that doesn't work, what do you suggest? is. >> well, president obama -- i mean, governor romney yesterday actually proposed a pretty good plan for the federal government. this would allow more competition, allow different states to experiment. don't impose a mandate, but go back to a more private market model where you allow individuals to control your own health care, to remove the tax subsidy that currently exists only for employer-sponsored health care, let individuals get that same kind of subsidy, create more of a market for individual health care plans and small business plans. and that would help reduce the costs of health care. that is a good proposal he made yesterday, and if it were passed nationally, would make a difference. but it's very different from what he did in massachusetts and very different from what president obama has passed. jon: all right. paul gigot, thank you very much. you can hear more from paul tomorrow, he is host of journal editorial report, runs at 2 p.m. eastern right here on fox news
