The rejuvenation of Doddakallasandra Lake can be traced back to Justice NK Patil’s report commissioned by the Karnataka government in 2012. The report aimed to breathe new life into water and ecological security throughout the state. Covering an expansive 21.16 acres, the lake’s restoration was undertaken by the BBMP a few years ago, with residents actively participating in improving its conditions.
