The flood situation continued to be grim in many parts of the
State on Saturday water flooding houses and farm lands. Till now, nine deaths have been reported due to rain-related incidents. The State government has opened 80 relief centres for flood survivors.
The continuous rain mostly affected North Karnataka, coastal Karnataka and Malnad region.
The body of a 12-year-old girl, Kiran Shanura Veebhuti, who was washed away in the floods on Friday, was found by rescue teams at Chikodi in Belagavi district. The
