Three accused are nomadic tribals, while another is a tribal. MYSURU: Four people suspected to be involved in the killing of a tiger and a leopard in 2020 were arrested here on Tuesday. The gang arrested was accused of killing the tiger in October and the leopard using a snare and a jaw trap, respectively. Police suspect that one of the accused may have contacts with those involved in the illegal trade of tiger skin. The poachers killed the leopard caught in the jaw trap by clubbing it with welding rods; the tiger was found dead after the hind portion of its body was caught in a wire snare.
