Kerala's Kunchikal Falls, the largest waterfall in India

Getting a permit to visit here
Post the construction of a dam and an underground power generation station near Hulikal, the flow of water to Kunchikal Fall has been affected and remains high only during monsoons. Since the entry to the waterfall is restricted, a special gate pass is needed for entry, which is issued at Hosangadi village (about 15 km away). It is a well-preserved area to maintain its serenity and cleanliness.

When to visit Kunchikal Falls?
Ideally, Kunchikal Falls should be visited during the rainy season between July and September. The flow of the waterfall during monsoon is at its peak and worth capturing in the camera. Due to high water current, the cascading water appears surreal.
