In the episode, entitled “Do the Write Thing,” Sydney suspects her teacher has assigned everyone in her class historical figures to write about based on their race. Sydney talks to her classmates, who confirm her suspicions and explain their discomfort with the assignments before agreeing it’s time to stand up for themselves, electing Sydney as their spokesperson to talk to their teacher.
