3 Georgia police officers shot; 1 suspect dead, 1 in custody Updated 9:02 AM; By KATE FELDMAN New York Daily News (TNS) and Tribune Media Services Three Georgia law enforcement officers were shot by fleeing suspects early Monday morning during a car chase. The chase began with an attempted traffic stop by the Georgia State Patrol in Bremen around 4:30 a.m., according to Carroll County Sheriff Terry Langley. The officers pursued the suspects into Carroll County, where local departments including the sheriff’s office and police in Carrollton and Villa Rica joined the chase. At the height of the chase, the suspects were speeding up to 111 mph, officials said.
