Nearly seven million people have already received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine in the UK. In late 2020, the UK regulatory body approved the use of the Pfizer/BioNTech and Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccines for use. The UK has ordered 100 million doses of the Oxford vaccine, which is enough to vaccinate 50 million people with two doses. The Moderna vaccine, which was developed in the US, has also been approved for use in the UK.
