Glendale mayor recovering from heart bypass surgery : vimarsana.com

Glendale Mayor Jerry Weiers is recovering from successful quintuple bypass heart surgery. His doctors expect him to make a full recovery and to release him the week of Feb. 7. 
The mayor had the surgery on Feb. 4 after being admitted to St. Joseph’s Hospital & Medical Center on Feb. 1, following a visit to a local urgent care. 
In the meantime, Vice Mayor Ian Hugh, will continue to fill in as dictated by the city charter, to ensure smooth city operations.
“I can’t thank everyone enough for all the messages to both Sandy and I, wishing me all the best throughout this tough situation,” Weiers said.
