Jackson County is launching a $5 million initiative to address vaccine hesitancy and health inequities on Kansas City's east side. The Jackson County Legislature approved use of CARES Act funding on Monday to go to the partnership, which includes Truman Medical Centers, the University of Missouri-Kansas City and the Black Health Care Coalition.
