According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), February is known as 'National Heart Month' -- but in many cases, these celebrations tend to place a larger focus on general health than specific problems that may be plaguing men or women. To remedy this, many groups will often host special events to draw attention to these causes. In the case of February's theme, the American Heart Association seeks to place a greater focus on women's heart health with their 'Rock The Red' event.
