VTE risk after hospital discharge rose 6% for each 10 mL/min/m2 decline in eGFR below a threshold of 60 mL/min/1.73 m2 and 5% with each doubling of UACR. Venous thromboembolism risk increases in patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), along with eGFR decline and/or albuminuria.
