It’s one of the hottest races for the Ken Irvine Medal on record, but it seems none of the players are overly keen to discuss their chances of being this year’s leading try scorer.
Storm speedster Josh Addo-Carr has scored 16 tries through the first 14 rounds, a feat not achieved since Canberra’s John Ferguson in 1988, while Rabbitohs winger Alex Johnston is just one behind after he bagged his second hat-trick in as many games.
Johnston politely refused an interview after his three-try haul against the Knights, choosing not to draw attention to his scoring spree, while “the Foxx” was nonplussed when the topic was raised last week.
