Queensland’s most crowded and in-demand state schools are accepting hundreds of students from outside their catchment areas.
New figures can reveal almost 600 schools enrolled students who did not live in the nearby area, despite signing up to enrolment management plans.
About half of the students who attend Brisbane State High School do not live in the catchment area, which includes West End, South Brisbane and Highgate Hill.
