WOOD RIVER — Two Madison County deaths were among the 126 COVID-19 related deaths reported Friday by the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH). The IDPH identified the deceased as a man in his 80s an a woman in her 90s. The IDPH also reported 9,277 new confirmed and probable COVID-19 cases. Late Thursday the Madison County Health Department reported one new COVID-19 related death, a man in his 60s, to bring the county’s virus death toll to 383. As of Thursday, the county had recorded 21,810 COVID-19 cases.
