RESIDENTS of a Tyne Valley town have rallied behind a mum's appeal to provide gifts and toys for families who are struggling financially this Christmas. Angie Scott launched her toy appeal earlier this year, and has been inundated with donations from the people of Prudhoe. This week, the gifts were distributed between Northumberland County Council's children's services, Hexham Kids Bank, Ferndene Hospital, and Red Brick Care Home. Angie said: "It's went really well, we've supported lots of families. I don't know how many we had. "People have been absolutely amazing, they've been really really supportive. I'd also like to say a big thank you to Brenda Grey for all her hell.
