An empty shop front and courtyard in one of Noosa’s trendy eat streets may soon gain a new lease on life in the form of a restaurant or cafe.
Property owner Tracy Fitzgerald has applied to Noosa Council to redevelop an ageing Noosaville Plaza commercial space located in trendy Thomas St.
The shop tenancy was first approved back in 1989 as a retail outlet, but Ms Fitzgerald is hoping a modern eatery spruced up with softening outdoor landscaping will spark new interest in the site.
“It’s just to increase the rental potential for any tenant to broaden into a cafe or restaurant as well as a shop,” Ms Fitzgerald’s town planner Neil Blamey said.
