I have a 2005 WK with the 5.7l Hemi. I have been having some power steering issues and I deleted my hydraulic fan. I wanted to do a multi part series on YouTube explaining it but my anxiety keeps me from really making what feel to be a video that people would watch. But forums are a different story 😁 if your interested then you will read. If not, you won't. This is one of the very first steps I am taking to under go a solid axle swap. It wasn't required. But I wanted to rid the power steering system of the burden of running a hydraulic motor, I wanted the ability to force my fans to stay on or force them to stay off, and I didn't want to lose the ability to cool my engine if I blew a power steering hose as a result of trail abuse after the solid axle is in. This happen when I get wild 😁 I have already popped hydraulic hoses off by playing pretty hard in snow(the feed line to the rack from the fan motor keeps getting hit I am guessing and it is only a quick connect fitting). I will get pictures and start a new or continue this thread to lay out the details of this is there is interest in this subject.
