Detroit Free Press Michigan State Police are investigating a reported shooting on Interstate 696 in Southfield, near Telegraph Road. The investigation closed the freeway for two hours but it is now reopened. An individual called 911 saying his vehicle was hit with a stray bullet. Troopers were dispatched to the scene and the caller said that two other vehicles appeared to be shooting at each other on the freeway. A bullet hole was confirmed on the caller's car. There were no injuries, the police report said, and the investigation is ongoing.
