Reader's letter Monty Don is a passionate advocate for 'No Mow', and recently told the Radio Times that we should be letting the grass grow to encourage wildlife into our gardens During last year’s lockdown we did the “No Mow” regime in our modest garden in Hunderton and were completely blown away by the variety and beauty of wild flowers that appeared as if by magic, and the number of different bees, moths, butterflies and hoverflies that were attracted to this new “meadow”. We did cut a narrow path up to shed and around washing rotary drier – the contrast made it look deliberate rather than neglected.
