IEA unveils 7 key principles for net zero : Energy & Environment

The International Energy Agency (IEA) has published
Seven Key Principles for Implementing Net Zero to ensure "dramatic acceleration of progress towards clean growth and resilience". The document, which has so far been welcomed by 20 countries, was published following the
IEA-COP26 Net Zero Summit yesterday.
Announcing the Paris-based agency's plan to release this guidance after the summit, IEA Executive Director Fatih Birol said: "As part of the summit, we at the International Energy Agency developed seven key principles that provide a framework for countries to work together and translate their ambitious targets into real emission reductions by putting credible energy policies.
