Illinois products market returns FacebookTwitterEmail The Illinois Products Farmers’ Market season will open Thursday at the Illinois State Fairgrounds in Springfield. The market, hosted by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, will run from 4 to 7 p.m. at The Shed on the fairgrounds. COVID-19 guidelines — including social distancing, wearing a mask and outdoor dining only — will be enforced. “If there is one silver lining to this past year, it is how aware we have become about where our food comes from,” agriculture department Director Jerry Costello II said. “Fresh local foods have become a priority and our [market] offers a great variety of fresh produce, baked goods, meats and much more every week.”
